3. Dove 'you gotta have skin' (commercial)

The third commercial which I'm going to discuss is also produced by Unilever. Unilever is the owner of the brand Dove and Dove produces different kind products specialized in body care.

Description of the commercial:
The commercial starts with a screenshot of the product (a milky skincare product). After this shot, different lady's show there body. These lady's haven't got the perfect skin. One person has a tattoo, the other has a scar and another woman has freckles on her skin. After seeing these women, there is another screenshot which shows the products and shows the line: every skin is beautiful, if you take care of it. On the background there is a pleasant song.

The affect:
This commercial has a special affect on people. That's because this commercial doesn't show the perfect human body. That's very special, because it's nearly unique! This commercial doesn't only attract people who have a good skin, but also the people with a bad skin, because those people also feel special by this commercial. So the affect of this commercial is extremely pleasant.

Conclusion: good or bad marketing tool?
This commercial is the perfect marketing tool. That's because the commercial has a great affect on people. People will feel attracted to the company due to the affect of this commercial. This commercial is one of a kind!

I would almost say that this is the best commercial I've ever seen! Just because of the fact that Dove didn't hire perfect models.
