2. Unox Jan Vayne (commercial).

The second commercial is produced by a Dutch company called Unilever. Unilever owns the brand Unox and it delivers different kind of products. For example, Unox soup, Unox boerenkol (boerenkool is a Dutch meal) and others. The commercial is played by a famous Dutch person: Jan Vayne (a pianist).

Description of the commercial:
The father of the family comes home from his work. His fingers role over a piano. Jan Vayne were's a wig, because he forgot to take it off when he gave a show. His little daughter didn't regconize him when he came home, because he were's the wig. This scene is funny because in ordinary life Jan Vayne also gives shows (he's a pianist) and he's bold (so in the commercial that is in-correct). When his wife sees the wig, she asked him if he had a show. He takes the wig off and putt it on the top of a sculpture. Directly his daughter recognize him and sais: Hi daddy! After that scene you will see them enjoying their Unox Boerenkool and they show the product on the screen.

The affect:
The affect of this commercial is quite good, because it can be funny. That's because in normal life Jan Vayne is bold and a pianist, but you have to know him! I didn't knew he was famous, until somebody told me. So if you don't know those facts, the commercial isn't funny. As I said, this commercial can have a good affect on people.

Conclusion: good or bad marketing tool?
The concept of this commercial can be used as a good marketing tool, that's because it can be funny! But the most people don't know Jan Vayne, so that's why this commercial isn't a good marketing tool. If this commercial wanted to succeed, Unox had to hire an evenmore famous person. Because lots of people won't get the anecdote, this commercial is unsuccessful. But as I said the concept of the commercial is good, so it could be a good marketing tool.

My opinion about this commercial is that isn't very good. Only because Unox had to think about the fact that lots of people won't know Jan Vayne and therefore the anecdote won't success.
